JJeff CaplanIf you're looking to explore San Jose, or have a basecamp for exploring the rest of Costa Rica, this hotel offers a great central location, situated right in the middle of San José. Good for walking to restaurants or shops in the city, or joining one of the several sight-seeing excursions which can be easily arranged by the hotel.
The rooms are nice, though the decor is a bit dated. The common areas are also well designed for lounging while reading a book or getting to know your fellow travelers staying on the same floor.
The breakfast buffet was fairly common for a hotel offering breakfast in Costa Rica, but good, and the area also doubles as a bar at night. Other amenities include a gym with free weights and a couple machines, along with two saunas, one dry and one steam.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel for the night prior to departing to the airport. I was shocked how beautiful this hotel is and wished I knew earlier. Service and friendliness of the staff was excellent, food at the Japanese restaurant was pretty good too. Shuttle to airport was convenient, definitely would stay here again when in Costa Rica. Nice area but a car would be best to get around San Jose.

GGuest UserThe hostel is very nice and stylishly furnished and is very well located near the city center, so that all the big museums and the theater as well as many bars, cafes and restaurants are within walking distance. It is a hostel, so you can't expect absolute peace and quiet, but I didn't find it disturbing. Street noise is negligible. The staff is very friendly and helpful, everything is clean. By car from the airport, the journey takes about 40 minutes outside of rush hour.

英英俊哥168It should be the best hotel in downtown San Jose, with comfortable beds and pillows. Guest service is also ok. The breakfast is too bad, it is not worth the price. It is recommended that if one lives, or stays next to Sheraton, half of the price, but the room is large, breakfast is very rich.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Los Quetzales National Park and finally we stayed in the magnificent valley of San Gerardo de Dota, which hosts quetzals a year thanks to the presence of Guatemalan lawyers - whose fruits they eat. The hotel's area includes a garden designed for the many colibris, a variety of walkways, some of which are particularly attractive to ornithologs, and a mirador with a magnificent view of the valley. We have performed a Quetzal observation (including) with Raul Fernandez Chacon (Whatsapp +***********), grandson of the pioneers who established themselves in the valley; The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre, and is located in the heart of the city centre.
