The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport, making taxi rides quite easy. Having a supermarket and a laundry room nearby is a definite plus. The hotel boasts a hot spring, but perhaps due to its natural origin, it contained numerous impurities and didn't look very clean. Be prepared for long waits and slow service at check-in.

The location is great, right in the centre of the American Valley, 5 mins walk to the sunset beach. lots of cafe and restaurants around. They offer free Onsen. The breakfast is quite good. Staff are very friendly. Also got Limousine to the airport. Had a very lovely stay there.

The stay at this hotel was fantastic! The staff's service attitude was particularly impressive—they warmly greeted us every time we came and went, which felt very welcoming. The hotel also offers complimentary luggage storage, which is incredibly thoughtful. The location is great too—it's less than a five-minute walk to the monorail station, making transportation super convenient. Right next door, there are two shopping malls—a DFS duty-free store and a shopping mall popular with locals. Both are great for shopping. A special thank you to the entire team for their hospitality and for making our stay so pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel!

The room size was standard, but both the amenities and services were quite good. The breakfast was excellent and varied; even after eating for two days, there were still different options, including ice cream. The staff were also very enthusiastic. It's super convenient for shopping and dining. It's not far from Ryukyu Department Store and Kokusai Dori, and there's a large Matsumoto Kiyoshi just a 5-minute walk away. There's a FamilyMart right outside the hotel, and if you walk a bit further, you'll find an even bigger FamilyMart, a 7-Eleven, and a Lawson.

This hotel is perfectly located in the middle of Kokusai Street, with a 7-Eleven and Lawson convenience store right downstairs – super convenient! We booked a triple room for two, and it was incredibly spacious. We could easily lay out two 28-inch suitcases flat. Just a heads-up on the cleaning: the hotel doesn't clean daily. If you stay for five days, they only clean on the middle day, so you'll need to keep an eye on the room's cleanliness yourself. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided, but not replenished daily; they're only replaced on the third-day cleaning. Overall, it's still good! The location is truly excellent, and the air conditioning works really well! Plus, they even gave us three room cards, which was a nice bonus!

The reason to go to this hotel is because it is extremely convenient and has a great view. We came here last year, but it was cheaper last year. We were surprised to learn that the car parking is now something you have to pay, which wasn't the case last year. Seems like a very cheap decision on their part considering the hotel is already pretty expensive. Also be prepared, the room will not be the newest or cleanest. It had a bit of mold on the wall around the AC unit, and the walls needed to be repainted and fixed on some parts.

The hotel is very new and modern. Rooms are correct and a big bigger than in other cities in Japan. They are very clean and have a nice balcony facing the seaside. The staff is very kind and they serve free drinks from 4-7pm. The breakfast is correct and offers a little variaty of food. Products are in general fresh. There's a Family Market 24/7 just at the entrance of the hotel. Few nice restaurants are also available for lunch or dinner closeby (some can be reached by foot).  The direct bus from/to the airport (bus 143!) stops just 100mt away from the hotel and it's very convenient. You also have buses for Naha City and to some beachside destinations. The nicest beach is Araha (40min by foot, 20min by bus 63, and 10-15 by car). Tropical beach is also closer but I preferred Araha with a lot more restaurants facing the beach and a lot of people and call family in the evening (there is also a kids ground). The Hrand Hotel Ginowan is a nice place to stay.

This is our honeymoon trip and they even upgraded room for us. Thank you 😊 About this hotel, everything is just perfect. Hotel is new and clean. Staff are friendly and attentive. And it’s not too far from Naha Airport. If you don’t drive, you can take a hotel shuttle bus or a taxi. There is a bus stop nearby if you want to try public transportation. Also a shopping mall and restaurants are very close. We really enjoyed a wonderful sea view at the club lounge. We will stay at Prince Hotel again in our next trip.

This might be the best hotel on Senagajima… hmm… the sunset is beautiful, the sea view is beautiful, and watching planes take off and land is also beautiful… but… the hotel's hot spring had a rotten, watery smell, the restroom on the first floor was dirty, there were ants in the room, and it was clear that many facilities hadn't even been wiped down in a long time. The staff were actually quite patient, and English communication was fine, but then there was an unexpected incident: I am very sure my wife and I are mindful of noise levels in public, yet during dinner, simply because I borrowed a phone, an elderly Japanese man at the next table, without any warning, yelled “shut up” like an animal. And the nearby staff member did nothing… If it weren't for considering international relations and being in a foreign country, I really would have wanted to have a vocabulary contest with that animal-like old man… To be honest, this was my first time encountering such an incident in Japan, but the hotel staff’s inaction completely ruined my impression of the place.

GGuest UserPros: 1. The hotel is close to the Cape Manza scenic spot, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. 2. The hotel offers a wide range of water activities, including but not limited to banana boats, jet skis, an inflatable water park, glass-bottom boats, and sunset cruises. If you're not planning on visiting the outer islands, you could easily spend a whole afternoon here. Cons: 1. The hotel is a bit old. The lobby has no air conditioning 🥵, and the room decor and furnishings feel dated. The shower pressure in the bathroom 🚿 isn't great either. 2. The outdoor pool closes at 6 PM, and the beach only stays open until 5 PM. I won't even mention other times, but Okinawa right now is scorching hot and sunny. The only time you can really enjoy the pool or ocean without getting baked is closer to sunset (unless you don't mind the sun, then never mind what I said). But then you only get to play for a short while before you have to leave!! 😅

Kkelvin.likes.cheeseUnexpectedly Perfect Stay at Southwest Grand Hotel! 🌟 We stumbled upon Southwest Grand Hotel due to a last-minute flight change, and what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be! Our extra day in Okinawa became one of the most memorable parts of our trip—all thanks to this incredible hotel. 🛏️ Stylish & Photogenic Rooms The room was modern, chic, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I even turned it into a mini photo studio and captured some beautiful family portraits of my wife and our 3-month-old baby. My wife was over the moon with the results! 🍳 Breakfast That Delights Every Palate The breakfast spread was phenomenal—offering both Western and Japanese options, all bursting with flavor. The cheese selection and homemade yogurt with honey were standouts. Don’t miss them! 📍 Prime Location Just a minute’s walk from Kokusai-dori (国際通り), the hotel is perfectly located for last-minute shopping or grabbing essentials. Super convenient and central! 🍽️ Vibrant Evenings As the nearby streets settle into a peaceful hush and most restaurants wind down with only a handful of diners, the lobby restaurants at Southwest Grand Hotel remain buzzing with energy. The lively atmosphere, filled with cheerful faces and clinking glasses, speaks volumes about the quality and charm of the hotel’s dining experience. 💭 Still Dreaming About It Overall, our experience at Southwest Grand Hotel was truly delightful. Even now—almost a month later—I can still recall every moment with vivid clarity. If it weren’t for the limited parking, I’d confidently call it Michelin-worthy! This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again on our next visit to Okinawa!

AAnonymous UserThis was my second stay at this hotel, and it's definitely one I'd recommend. However, it does have quite a few drawbacks. First off, the service is just okay. Some staff members are quite lazy and have a bad attitude – you have to ask them three times before they do anything. Also, when I was checking in, I had my hands full with bags and a suitcase, and they just stood there watching. They didn't offer any help at all, and then asked me to sign something. My phone was in a bag, so if they had just helped me with my luggage, I could have freed up a hand to sign. Secondly, the soundproofing is terrible. I could hear every word from the room next door as if they were speaking right beside me! Also, many people have mentioned that the rooms are too bright, and it's true. The lights from outside shine directly in at night, mainly because the curtains are too thin. On the positive side, the beach is beautiful, with some of the best sand in Onna Village. The hotel's outdoor public areas are also aesthetically pleasing, with beautiful plant and flower arrangements. Breakfast offers an average variety, but the taste is decent. There's a fishing port nearby, and as soon as you step out, you'll find tons of restaurants with plenty of delicious food. It's a top choice in Onna Village. If you're bothered by older properties, you might want to reconsider, as this hotel is over 50 years old. However, it's very well-maintained! Plus, the rooms don't have wall-to-wall carpeting, so there's less dust. Overall, it's my first choice for a stay in Onna Village. If you prioritize the room and interior design, you could choose the Hotel Monterey next door – its interiors are much better, but its beach is very average. Choose Hotel Monterey if you prioritize the room; choose here if you prioritize the beach.

GGuest UserThe ocean view is stunning, and the architecture is beautiful. The walls resemble a star-like structure, and the light reflected on the ground changes with the changing sunlight, which is beautiful. The sunset is also stunning. The service is average, and the experience is just average.

UuknowpennyThe shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel isn't very frequent, especially the one going to the airport, which only runs in the morning. If you have an afternoon flight, you'll have to take a taxi. It feels more suitable for those traveling by car. On the plus side, you can walk to Hoshino Café. The hotel's restaurant has good food and service, but there are queues for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and no one told us we could call ahead to reserve a table. Water activities also require reservations, and they don't accept phone bookings; you have to go early in the morning to get a spot, which is a bit too primitive 😂. The beach and pool are beautiful, and the rooms are well-maintained. The off-season price seems reasonable.

BBiliyabahezhizhangThe room felt very spacious (advertised as 30 sq. m, likely the actual usable area), and there were a table and chairs on the balcony. The hotel has an excellent location, facing the sea with a fantastic beach on one side, and a main road on the other, very close to a bus stop. There's a Family Mart convenience store just over a hundred meters away. The airport shuttle (blue line) goes directly to the hotel lobby entrance. It's a large hotel with various shops and a children's playground, typical of a resort.

KKirill 科力尔The hotel is located near beautiful and clean Sesoko beach with marvellous sea abundant with great variety of fish. A perfect location for swimming and snorkeling. Sesoko beach and fantastic view thereof from our balcony has been a huge, but unfortunately the only advantage of the hotel. If you don’t rent a car, you have to be ready for the situation when you are unable to leave the hotel at all. It’s very hard to call a taxi either via Uber or even via local taxi app “Go”. The hotel staff does not provide too much help with this issue either, even when requested to book a taxi to the airport (to be fair hotel concierge finally managed to arrange a car for us, but it arrives 30 minutes late, despite our request being extended at least 12 hours before the planned departure). The hotel management is apparently aware of the transport inconvenience for their guests, but do not seem to care about that at all: they’ve chosen the easiest way “to cope” with the problem: just smile and say “sorry”. There’s another advantage of such approach for the hotel: if guests cannot leave the hotel easily, they wouldn’t have much lunch/dining choice other than having meals in the hotel. And here we come to another issue with the hotel: a very mediocre choice of dining options (no Japanese cuisine options at all) and extremely poor menu (with even poorer service) in the only available lunch venue. Breakfasts are below expectations as well: absolutely same food every morning (the only change from day to day: fried salmon/fried mackerel), no fresh fish/sea-food (we’re still in Japan, aren’t we?), almost no choice of fruits. Verdict: a very overrated hotel, pretty mediocre itself, but located beside the gorgeous sea.

BBabachan23Oceanic Grandeur at The Orion Motobu: A Masterclass in Northern Okinawa Hospitality Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) The Verdict ”The Hotel Orion Motobu Resort & Spa remains a benchmark for luxury in Northern Okinawa. With its expansive footprint and strategic location adjacent to the Emerald Beach and Churaumi Aquarium, it offers a resort experience that feels both grand in scale and intimate in comfort. As a traveler who appreciates the higher standards of Japanese hospitality, I found this property to be a highlight of the Motobu Peninsula.” Location & Aesthetic The positioning is peerless. To have Emerald Beach as your front yard and the aquarium as your neighbor is a luxury few hotels can claim. The architecture maximizes the stunning views of Ie Island, and the transition from the sophisticated lobby to the pristine coastal surroundings is seamless. The resort successfully captures the 'Okinawa Blue' spirit in every corner. Service & Amenities The service here felt notably more 'high-touch' and personalized. The staff navigate the complexities of a large-scale resort with grace and genuine warmth—a step above the standard 'transactional' service seen in city hotels. You can feel the passion and warmth the moment you arrive at the resort. Accommodation Note The rooms are impressively spacious by Japanese standards and the location is right in between Churaumi Aquarium and Bise Fukugi Tree Road by foot!!! Guest Tip: Ensure you are present at your balcony to embrace the magnificent sunset. Watching the sun dip below the horizon around 5:00 PM is a transformative experience that defines the beauty of this resort.
