based on 472 reviewsBeitou Hot Spring Museum is a public hot spring bathhouse built in 1913. It features a Japanese-style wooden structure, backed by green mountains, with winding paths and lush greenery. In 1997, it was designated as a historic site and converted into the Beitou Hot Spring Museum.
Upon entering the museum, follow the wooden stairs down to the basement level to reach the central hot spring bath. Roman arches surround the bath, and sunlight streams through the stained glass, casting an exotic flair. This area was once reserved for men. Nearby, items such as brushes, ladles, and buckets from the early days of Beitou Hot Spring are on display. It was once the largest hot spring bathhouse in Eastern Asia. Even today, it retains a sense of grandeur and magnificence, and is nearly the size of a swimming pool.
