Sotetsu Fresa Inn Ueno-Okachimachi

The hotel is located on Kasuga-dori, very close to JR Ueno Station, and also near the Ginza Line. The streets on both sides of the hotel entrance are lined with all sorts of shops, including Matsuzakaya, offering plenty of options for shopping and dining. It's also very close to Ameyoko, with delicious choices available even at night. The hotel service is very thoughtful, especially the check-in process, which was meticulously handled. Even though self-check-in was available, the staff were there to guide and assist. The room facilities are perfectly adequate for a tourist's rest, and if you get a higher floor, you can even enjoy the sunrise, sunset, and street views of the surrounding area in the mornings and evenings. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

The room is nice, with a great location and convenient transportation. It's clean but a bit small. The service is standard, and the facilities are basic but sufficient. Soundproofing isn't great, but it's a good value for money, suitable for a short transitional stay.

The hotel is clean and hygienic, and they even provide face masks and bath salts. It's super close to shopping, just 200 meters from Don Quijote, Parco, and Montbell. Haneda Airport Terminal 3 is only half an hour away, and Okachimachi Station on the Yamanote Line is also just 200 meters from the hotel, making it very convenient to get here from Karuizawa via Ueno. The National Museum of Western Art in Ueno Park is a straightforward 800-meter walk. Plus, there are some great restaurants right next to Montbell! All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with the hotel's location!
