I stayed for 2D1N at The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur in a one-bedroom apartment, and it was a very comfortable experience. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well laid out, making it feel more like a home than a hotel room.
The living area was cozy, and the bedroom was comfortable with a good bed for a restful night. The apartment was well maintained, and having extra space was definitely a plus, even for a short stay. Everything was tidy and functional.
The location is great — close to the city center and within easy reach of shopping areas, attractions, and public transport. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. A great option if you’re looking for a comfortable apartment-style stay in Kuala Lumpur. Would gladly stay here again.

The location is great, within walking distance to Pavilion, but everything else was terrible. The hotel is really old and rundown. The hygiene was incredibly, incredibly awful; I've never stayed in such a dirty hotel in my life. Absolutely do not book this place. The breakfast was horrendous, all Indian food. The flatbreads and pastes looked completely unappetizing. Seriously, don't book this hotel.

Booked this hotel for Christmas celebration but ended up spoilt my trip.
Allocated a room at level 5, went into the room, the door lock is spoilt, room phone is spoilt. Went down to lobby to request for room change.
Allocated another too. In the same floor. Notice the room air cond not very cold. Thot may be we just on the air cond, ithe room should be cooler later. Went to KLCC for dinner and shopping. Came back around 10pm ++. The room is warm, air cond is not functioning. Called front deck for help. They sent the technician, whom confirmed the room air cond is not working.
The front deck Ms Hana who handled us is not qualified to be customer service front deck. Let us wait for quite some time. Don'tevrn offer complimentary upgrade room for us. Ended up shifted us to a room at 3rd floor.
In the mid night, discovered the toilet bowl stuck. Hv to call front deck again...!!!!
The service is unsatisfactory, the hotel condition is bad. Technician told us air cond in a lot of rooms is not functioning 😕
Really has unforgivable experience in this hotel. Spoilt my Christmas!!!!

The location of this hotel is very strategic making it accessible to Pavilion Mall.
Generally, it was a good stay. However, we encountered unpleasant noise coming from the top floor and requested a change of room- the manager obliged which was good.
Room service takes time. Buffet was more on local delicacies since they get a lot of foreigners. Salad bar can be improvised with more varieties.
For international guests please be informed that this hotel does not serve alcohol.

Friendly and courteous staff. Location wise, near the pavilion but need a bit of legs work. Bedroom has all the necessities however, the furnishing and furniture may need refurbishing. Buffet breakfast provides local delicacies, nothing spectacular though acceptable. Overall, good value for money.

Locationwise, Royale Chulan is situated strategically in the very heart of Kuala Lumpur. Pavillion Mall is just a short walk away and you can access the pedestrian bridge from The Banyan. Although the hotel itself is kinda old and pass its prime in term of facilities, the prompt service as well as the great breakfast in the morning make up for it. You will be spoiled for choice with the morning breakfast buffet ranging from traditional Malay, to Chinese and Indian as well as western style breakfast.
