Prince Kung's Palace Museum near Houhai, is the largest palace from the Qing Dynasty. It was once the residence of Minister Heshen during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. This well-preserved Qing Dynasty princely mansion boasts exquisite architecture, with its rear garden featuring pavilions, terraces, and rockeries, offering ever-changing scenery. A guided tour is essential to understand the historical stories behind the mansion. The "Number One Blessing Under Heaven" in Miyun Cave is a must-see. With numerous walking paths throughout the park, I recommend allowing half a day for a leisurely stroll to fully appreciate the charm of this classical princely mansion – well worth the trip.
