Fraser Suites Hanoi

I stayed here for a business trip. The hotel is located by West Lake, a bit tucked away, so you have to go around to get to the city center. However, if you're planning to enjoy West Lake or have an itinerary centered around it, the location is absolutely perfect. The accommodation is very clean, and the service is excellent. That being said, there's currently major construction happening right in front of the hotel, so there's nowhere to walk around nearby, which is a definite drawback to keep in mind.

During my 3-day stay, there were a few minor issues, but thanks to the two staff members at the reception, I left with only good memories. The breakfast and the fitness facilities were also excellent.

I've stayed at many hotels, but this was by far the worst. We stayed in the old wing, and while I don't mind outdated facilities, there was a general trash-like smell, and a particularly strong stench emanating from the toilet. The air conditioner filter was full of dust, which was incredibly frustrating to see every time. The noise was also unbelievably loud until the late hours of the morning. During my 5-day stay, there was nothing good to eat for breakfast, and with so many Japanese expatriates around, it was chaotic from 6 AM. Plus, there's major construction right next to the hotel, so it's a mess of dust and dirt. Walking around is impossible. I absolutely do not recommend this place for a vacation. It felt more suitable as accommodation for expatriate workers.

The room is very spacious, a three-bedroom, one-living room suite with an en-suite bathroom. The layout is excellent, making it ideal for large family trips. It's also very convenient as it comes with cutlery and cooking utensils. The hotel's pool is fantastic; there's one on the ground floor for children and an infinity pool on the top floor for adults, offering views of West Lake. The hotel breakfast is also very good. Since there are many Japanese and Korean guests, the breakfast tends to be more Western-style, with a bit of Korean kimchi. The staff are highly professional and have good English, though less so in Chinese. The hotel's location is decent, situated in what appears to be an affluent area, so other hotels nearby likely aren't cheap either. Despite being a bit further from the city center, the price is reasonable considering the amenities. Getting a taxi to other places is very quick, as most destinations are around West Lake, and it's also very close to the rebuilt lake. Overall, highly recommended.

Overall, it was quite good. The service was excellent, and the surroundings were quiet. Getting around by taxi takes about 15 minutes, which was convenient. I would recommend staying at this hotel again if I visit next time.

The room was spacious and bright, the service was good, and the hygiene was excellent. The environment was elegant, though the facilities were just average. The rooftop pool was absolutely stunning with beautiful views. The bar staff were also super enthusiastic! 👍👍👍
