The Westin Tokyo

An excellent, well-established hotel and a rare find in Tokyo for its high level of internationalization. The front desk staff and all employees speak very good English. Although it shows its age and isn't the newest, the cleanliness, service attitude, and maintenance are all top-notch. The location is fantastic, right next to Ebisu, making getting around very convenient. Would definitely book again if budget permits.

This was the first stop of our winter holiday trip to Japan in 2023, right after travel restrictions were lifted. We usually stay in Osaka, and I had high hopes for this stay, but it turned out to be deeply disappointing! At 3:00 AM, a drunk couple upstairs started screaming and banging on the walls. After confirming where the noise was coming from, I went to the front desk to complain. They handled it with completely lukewarm, ineffective measures—even after reaching out three times, the noise continued. The next day, after finding out they were staying another night, I asked the hotel to move them to a different room so they wouldn't disturb others. The hotel's response was that the guests were loyalty members, so they couldn't do that. After arguing with the manager for an hour, their 'solution' was to have US change rooms instead. Completely baffled by this hotel's management logic!

It was pretty good, the environment was nice, and the room was quite tidy. However, there were no makeup remover pads in the bathroom, and for such an expensive hotel, the breakfast selection wasn't very extensive. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars.

The hotel is very conveniently located near Ebisu Garden Place. The room was also quite spacious for Tokyo, where space is at a premium.

The service was excellent and the room was clean, plus the garden is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast offered a wide selection of choices, and there was plenty of seating. The location is also fantastic – it's quiet despite being in a bustling area. The area around Ebisu Garden is super chill, and it's only a five-minute walk to Lemaire.

This hotel is located in a quiet and comfortable upscale neighborhood in Tokyo. Right across from it are the three-Michelin-starred French restaurant Joël Robuchon and its casual offshoot. The business complex opposite also boasts various restaurants and observation decks on the 38th and 39th floors, and a Lemaire boutique is nearby. It's a redecorated old-school hotel, high-end and elegant, with a classic, old-money vibe. The only slight downside is that they still use the old American bedding style – a blanket tucked into a flat sheet – which isn't very comfortable.

First off, the service was absolutely wonderful. Since we booked the room for our anniversary, the entire experience, from the pre-arrival communication with the hotel to checking in at the front desk and the in-room service, was incredibly warm and thoughtful. They even surprised us with a bottle of champagne! Secondly, both the hotel and the room facilities were great. Our room was on a high floor with a view of Tokyo Tower, and it was stunning, whether during the day or at night.
