Show More ReviewsBringing kids to the Panda Base, I highly recommend buying the sightseeing bus! The park is huge, and taking the bus minimizes walking, keeps kids from getting tired, and allows for easy hop-on and hop-off. Try to arrive early, as the pandas are more active in the morning, but after midday most are sleeping, meaning you'll only see the sleeping giants. Prepare your children mentally beforehand. Kids are especially excited watching the chubby pandas munching on bamboo. Afterwards, you can browse the souvenir shops; there's a huge variety of toys and fridge magnets—perfect for a little travel memento. Be aware of the crowds, so keep a close eye on your children and remember to protect them from sun and insects. Overall, it's a fantastic experience for kids, definitely worth bringing when visiting Chengdu to see these adorable national treasures.
