We stayed at Villa Oliviero this week in June 2026. I would rate it as an exceptional beautiful villa over 4 floors with 6 well anointed bedroom and 6 bathrooms all air conditioned with living area and sitting rooms all air conditioned . We were 7 adults and 6 grandchildren multigenerational family reunion ages 68 to 2 years old. We booked over a year ago after detailed search . It’s a wonderful place , originally built many decades ago , fully renovated to all modern luxuries, a great large jacuzzi , terrific swimming pool and outstanding views of positano . Villa has an interesting history dating back to few hundred years ago based on original stones on the liparati cliff of positano to ownership by German poet Stefan Andres to Bertolli family of olive oil fame , to a surgeon Dr.Oliviero , who last purchased it and subsequently renovated and developed by his grandchildren Nello and Alice . Best feature is easy access to public elevator Parcheggo Liparati taking us down to street level from liparati area to street level with very easy walk to positano beach and shopping area . Old reviews of people climbing 80-100 stairs to reach the villa are now “redundant” as the public elevator built two years ago , is extremely easy to use (at least € 1.0 per person per trip ) about 50 or so same level absolutely easy flat steps from the villa itself to the entrance of elevator upstairs and same downstairs with few steps on flat exit/ entrance to the main road with bus station going across entire town as well as walking steps to the beach or access to taxi. The villa is spacious , well kept , kitchen is spacious , outdoor dining areas has spectacular views of positano and the sea , day or night . The swimming pool area has two toilets , one enclosed and one outdoor warm water shower. The villa is managed by a team lead by concierge Gennaro and his team who are extremely helpful and reliable around the clock. They cooked us a wonderful dinner. Nello Oliviero is always available on WhatsApp. One of the highlights was the meals served by Gennaro and the chef ( Alina ) which were delicious especially that we were all lacto vegetarians-the pesto gnocchi and ravioli were outstanding. All of us especially kids loved the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. Jacuzzi is very large and accommodating all 6 grandkids and 3-4 adults. In fact we loved the villa so much that family decided to cancel trip to capri , sorrento and nearby areas in lieu of just absorbing the view and hospitality of the villa itself and enjoying multi level areas and swimming pool twice daily . I would rate this as one of the best multigenerational vacation stays we have had .
