Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo-Ueno Okachimachi

The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around, and eating in the room was out of the question. We had to stack our two suitcases (one large, one small) just to make them fit. The location was just okay; it took about a 10-minute walk to the subway station. Oh, and about the Japanese smart toilets – in our room, when I pressed the bidet function, the nozzle came out with poop on it! I'm traumatized. That's it; I won't be coming back.

What a coincidence to stumble upon the local traditional 'Xiagu Temple Fair'! It was quite lively and happening right in the shopping street across from the hotel.

The hotel is quite close to the subway station, just one stop from Ueno, which is great for catching an early flight the next day. The hygiene and facilities are decent, no complaints there. Many foreigners stay here, and the overall service is excellent. A special thanks to Ms. HISATOMI at the front desk, who patiently helped me contact a restaurant. Thank you very much!

Small but perfectly formed. The bathroom, in particular, was very clean and comfortable. The location was easy to find and super convenient for transport. Next time I'm in Tokyo, I'll definitely choose this place again!

This is a continuation of my previous review. I had to book an extra night because I'd initially booked one day less. The hotel was able to merge both bookings when I checked in. Also, some guides mentioned that additional fees might be charged during check-in, but that wasn't the case. I only paid the amount shown on Trip.com, and didn't have to pay anything else upon arrival at the hotel.
