Nisshokan Shinkan Baishokaku

The hotel is situated on a small hill, with large windows in the rooms overlooking Nagasaki harbor, offering beautiful night views. The open-air bath in the large public bath also boasts stunning city views. Although it's not a natural hot spring, the women's bath has a shelf stocked with various brands of shampoo and conditioner for use. The rooms are spacious, though a bit old; a magnifying mirror and brighter lighting in the washroom would have been a welcome improvement. It was mentioned upon check-in that the rooms wouldn't be cleaned or towels changed, which was acceptable for my two-night stay. The breakfast was plentiful, including a small selection of Western breakfast items.

The hotel is located in the mountains, and there is a free shuttle bus from parking space W2 at JR Nagasaki Station. It's a traditional hot spring hotel with excellent service; the staff were very welcoming, and the cleanliness and environment were good. The room was quite spacious; for two adults and two children, there were two beds and two tatami mats. However, the only drawback was that some of the wallpaper was peeling, which slightly detracted from the experience. Overall, the stay was quite pleasant.

Nisshokan New Building Ume-Matsu-Tsuru: Located in Nagasaki Highlands, Nisshokan New Building Ume-Matsu-Tsuru offers panoramic city and night views. The rooms are spacious and quiet, with an elegant Japanese style, and the onsen (hot spring) provides a relaxing and comfortable experience. The service is attentive and of high quality, and the food is consistently delicious, making it ideal for travelers seeking both stunning views and a tranquil stay.

The front desk staff were welcoming. Early check-in. Incredible views. Entering the room. Spacious and well-equipped. Clean and tidy. Stunning night view. After dinner. Outdoor hot spring bath. A relaxing soak. Soothing and rejuvenating. Oka!

The reception staff were excellent. They were polite and reassuring throughout, and I felt they listened carefully to what I had to say. The interaction was pleasant, and I had a very positive impression.

Very old school ryokan! What an unexpected surprise! The grandfathers who drive to pick up and drop off our kids are all handsome men! The service is excellent, polite, friendly and enthusiastic... One night and two meals are unexpectedly delicious 😋 The room in the new building is very clean, and the night view is really amazing! You can also enjoy the fun of hot springs. You can see the mountain view from the outside of the hot spring! Super high cost performance, impeccable 💯
