🖖🏻 Day 4 in 🇨🇳 Jiuzhaigou 📆 August 15 📍 Jiuzhaigou Checked out of the hotel first thing at 7:00 AM, left our luggage there, and walked about 15 minutes to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area. There were already so, so, so many people at the ticket gate 😰 (Chinese summer vacation is intense). Boarding started at 7:45 AM 🚌. There are plenty of buses, so don't worry about not getting a seat. The buses take you to each scenic spot, though some still require walking. You really need a full day to explore here. We had booked our 4:00 PM bus ticket back to Chengdu a week in advance, so it was a bit rushed. Around 2:00 PM, we headed out of the scenic area by bus, walked ten minutes to McDonald's for lunch, and then returned to the hotel to pick up our luggage and catch the bus to Huanglongjiuzhai Station. Overall, it's really beautiful here, like a fairyland, and very photogenic. The weather feels cool and chilly, especially in the morning—it's really cold. Remember, when returning to Huanglongjiuzhai Station, you must leave for the bus stop at least 30 minutes early to prepare for boarding. Keep an eye on your email inbox for the license plate number. The bus is very punctual and won't wait for anyone. After the 4:00 PM bus departs, it makes a few stops to pick up passengers. Once finished, it goes directly to Huanglongjiuzhai Station. You must book your high-speed train ticket from Huanglongjiuzhai Station to Chongqing early; we booked ours a week in advance. Although it takes two hours to get from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglongjiuzhai Station, you must book a ticket with a three-hour buffer for your return to Chengdu or Chongqing! You might encounter accidents or traffic jams. We ran into a car accident and were almost late. Fortunately, we made it. Our high-speed train was at 7:00 PM. We arrived at Huanglongjiuzhai Station at 6:35 PM. It takes some time to go through security and enter the station, and there were so many people that we had to queue. Fortunately, we still caught the 7:00 PM high-speed train back to Chengdu East Station. We arrived at Chengdu East Station at 9:43 PM, transferred to Chongqing, and finally arrived in Chongqing at 11:13 PM, then called a Didi to take us to 📍Xiao Hao Hotel Chongqing. The location of Xiao Hao Hotel in Chongqing is great. The subway station is right outside. However, there was a smell when we entered the room.
