It was renovated from a historical building and is about a 15 minute drive from Mutianyu Great Wall. The front desk provides luggage storage and a hiking map. The hotel has an outdoor temperature controlled massage bathtub, which can be reserved in advance with the front desk for paid use. Soaking in hot springs and enjoying the Great Wall is also a rare experience< The hotel was renovated from a glazed tile factory, preserving the original appearance and firing traces of the factory as much as possible. The name of the hotel preserves its historical memory, and several old cave dwellings have been preserved. The fusion of brick and tile elements with modern art can be seen everywhere in hotels. Every brick, tile, soil, and wood here strives to preserve the traditional style of rural areas in northern China. The fusion of rural and urban, traditional and modern, Eastern and Western, and different elements has created the unique genes of the hotel. Here, guests not only experience homestay services, but also the long forgotten history and culture< The hotel values sustainable development and fully utilizes natural light. The guest rooms are equipped with large glass windows and half cut curtains, allowing guests to enjoy the magnificent view of the Great Wall whether sitting on the balcony, lying in bed, or even taking a shower. There is no TV in the room, allowing guests to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, watch the mountains at night, and quietly enjoy the shock brought by nature< In 2020, two international architects from llLab. Xuxiang Architecture, Hanxiao Liu and Lu í s Ricardo, designed, renovated, and upgraded the hotel with the aim of jointly creating rural construction and cultural development in Beigou Village. I hope to depict its solemn significance with a tolerant attitude and local cultural patterns. Under such conditions, using landscape and architectural language to create interconnected spatial qualities and inspire people to actively seek special perceptions of culture.
