Hami King's Palace

Hami Huiwang Mansion is located at the southern end of Hami City and can be reached by bus from the city. Huiwang Mansion was once a palace building with a large scale, magnificent architecture and unique style in Xinjiang. It is a veritable "small Forbidden City in the Western Regions". Today's Huiwang Mansion Attraction is an antique building complex rebuilt based on the former Hami Huiwang Mansion. Here you can feel the magnificence and exquisiteness of the former Hami Huiwang Mansion, visit the architectural style that combines Han culture with Islamic culture, and learn about the history of Hami during the reign of the Hui King. The gate of Huiwang Mansion is located on the north side. The entire palace is not large, with a length and width of about two to three hundred meters. It can be visited on foot and can be completed in about one to two hours. There are a total of 28 buildings in the park, which are mainly divided into three parts, namely the courtyard, the reviewing platform and the prince's platform. After entering from the gate on the north side of the Attraction, a road in the center of the Attraction comes into view. The buildings are distributed on the roadside. After entering the gate, the courtyard area is on the left. This is a quadrangle with a length and width of about 30 meters. It was also a post station where the royal palace received guests. The buildings here are not much different from the general Chinese quadrangle. You can take a brief visit. About 60 meters along the avenue, you will arrive at the entrance of the Wangye Terrace area, which is on the right. Wangye Terrace is the main and largest part of the Attraction. It was also the place where Hui Wang worked, worshipped and lived in those days. Wangye Terrace is a large courtyard with a length and width of about 100 meters. There are buildings such as the office hall, Hui Wang's bedroom, and mosque. The office hall is on a higher ground. After climbing about dozens of steps to the hall, you can overlook the buildings in the Attraction. When Hui Wang built this place, it imitated the architecture of the Forbidden City and added Islamic style, so the buildings inside are very distinctive. First of all, there is the mosque. The main hall of the temple is a typical Han-style building, while the minaret is an Islamic round arch spire building, which is a big contrast. When visiting the courtyard, you should also pay attention to the fact that there are no statues of animals or people in the courtyard pavilions, only flowers and various geometric patterns, which is also the style of Islam and very distinctive. The office facilities and daily necessities of the Hui king at that time are also displayed in the office hall and the bedroom. There are also portraits and descriptions of the Hui kings of successive dynasties. You can learn about the history and stories of the Hui kings of successive dynasties during the visit. After visiting the scenic spots near Wangye Terrace, walk eastward to the Dianbing Terrace area, where there are training grounds, tall guard towers, barracks and other buildings, which you can visit. After visiting Wangye Terrace, you can return to the gate to the north along the avenue in the middle of the Attraction and leave the Attraction.
