Hotel is in a great location. Near to the market square in old town (less than 5 mins walk) and far away from the noise. Can still hear faint music from the centre so we would not have liked to be any nearer.
The hotel itself is pretty traditional so feels a bit run down in places, single glazed windows and door with air gaps not so good for winter but thankfully there's heating in the room. Room wasn't cleaned down during our 4 night stay except the bins were emptied. The water pipeworks a bit loose and leaky, but nothing really to complain at this price!
The best part of the stay was the hotel staffs. Andy in particular was amazing and helpful. He was almost our (free) local tour guide and he worried about us constantly, including making sure we have extra snacks to go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (he gave us some free rose biscuits for the energy and altitude sickness). He ran around for us and even offered help with our laundry. Best customer service ever!

I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and it was truly an amazing experience. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of traditional charm. I would especially like to thank the receptionist, Andy, who made our stay unforgettable. He was incredibly polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed.
Upon our arrival, Andy welcomed us with traditional tea, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel immediately at home. Throughout our stay, he continued to provide excellent service and great recommendations.
Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations in every way — comfortable rooms, great service, and a perfect location. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lijiang!

We had a wonderful stay at Baishui Fang Old Town Palace. Andy contacted us early before check-in to help upgrade our room, which was so kind and thoughtful. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The location is excellent — just a short walk to the Old Town and surrounded by beautiful streets. Andy also shared helpful tips and recommended places for us to visit and enjoy the sightseeing around Lijiang, which made our trip even more special.
Service was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended for couples who want a comfortable stay with friendly and attentive hospitality.

The receptionist (Mr Andy) was super duper helpful. He'll contact you prior via wechat to assist in arranging from railway station to their hotel. He also arranged for tricycle service to carry the luggage. During stay, he will inquire any request/assistance needed. The hotel was old style but functioning. A few minor inconveniences such as see through toilet glass door etc but manageable. Places wise, it is in the middle of ancient town (nearer to north gate), within walking distance to any squares.

The inn is located in the center of the ancient city, and it is very convenient to travel in the ancient city. But it's a little long to walk to the outside of the ancient city, but the hotel staff will help with the luggage. Thank you for Andy's hospitality.

Very charming hotel in great location with absolutely amazing service! Andy helped us with so many things, personally escorted us to local restaurants, helped us to try different teas and choose the right one, got our suitcases transported to the hotel so they don’t get damaged by the cobblestones, and much more.
