Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo - Ginza

The hotel's location is fantastic, super convenient for the subway with two entrances within 30 meters. It's easy to get to places like Asakusa and Shibuya. The Uniqlo flagship store and GINZA SIX are both just a short walk away. I loved that the welcoming flower arrangements at the entrance were fresh flowers, clearly professionally maintained – a real treat for the eyes! The room was small, but very well laid out; we could easily open both of our suitcases. It came with toiletries and slippers. Being in a bustling area, you can hear the sound of the trains at night when it's quiet.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for getting around. For first-timers to Tokyo, I highly recommend staying away from Tokyo Station and choosing this area instead; it's close to Ginza and equally well-connected for transportation. The staff are all super friendly, and the housekeeping is excellent. My only minor gripe is that the hotel facilities are a bit dated.

The room was comfortable and bright. The Higashi-Ginza subway station is right outside the hotel, offering direct access to both Haneda and Narita airports. It's very close to Ginza, and you can easily walk to Tsukiji Fish Market in the morning. Shopping is super convenient with Mitsukoshi department store just across the street. I really loved it! While the hotel price is high on weekends, it's very reasonable on weekdays. The breakfast spread was excellent, and surprisingly, there's even a Mala Tang restaurant not far from the hotel.

Facilities: Comprehensive Cleanliness: Spotless Environment: Beautiful, excellent location Service: Great I've stayed at many Mitsui Garden hotels before, including the Premier, Jingu Gaien, Gochome, and this Millennium location. Gochome was good, but I personally feel this Millennium's location is the best and most convenient. Just turn left out of the hotel and walk one block to reach Ginza Six, which perfectly suited my needs. Before I left, a lady helped me with my heavy luggage, which I really appreciated.

The room isn't too small; I could easily lay out my suitcase. The hotel's shampoo is fantastic – my hair felt bouncy and not frizzy after using the hairdryer, which I really appreciate. Housekeeping cleans before 2 PM daily. If you put up the 'do not disturb' sign, they'll slip a note under your door to let you know they stopped by, but you can always call them for fresh towels, trash removal, or refills, which is excellent. The cleaning staff is also very diligent and polite, even using a vacuum cleaner to get rid of dust. My skin is very sensitive, but sleeping naked in the bed was perfectly fine, though the duvet was a bit too thick – I was hot with it on and cold without it 🥶. Overall, it's very close to Ginza for shopping, and Higashi-Ginza Station is right at the hotel's doorstep with direct elevator access, which is super convenient for tourists who walk a lot every day. However, Google Maps navigation was terrible; it took me until my last few days to realize the station in front of the hotel was Higashi-Ginza, not Ginza Station itself 🤣. Finally, the reason I only gave the environment three stars is because at night, there are a lot of guys on motorbikes making noise (street racing, I guess) near the hotel. Tokyo doesn't seem to do anything about it, but I was so tired every day that it didn't really affect my sleep. Also, the hotel curtains aren't completely blackout, so it was quite bright every morning.

Every time I visit Tokyo, I stay here because it's so convenient for getting around. This time, the room was much cleaner than my last visit. We first stayed for three days, then left for Izu, and came back for one more night. I noticed that during our first check-in, the slippers weren't disposable, but they were during our second stay – a bit odd 🤔 Also, the toiletries weren't Mikimoto anymore.
