In the past, "Takadoro" the old lighthouse for ships was on top of Tempozan mountain as it was the smallest mountain in Japan. That was also a landmark of the area. Now the landmark is a big ferris wheel which is located just in front of our property.
From the rooftop bath, you can see both the big ferris wheel and a small Takadoro placed beside the bath at the same time. The ferris wheel can also be seen from other rooms of the property.

The distinctive round building is really easy to spot, and the interior is elegant and quiet. The rooms are meticulously cleaned, and the mattress and pillows are incredibly comfortable, perfect for a good rest after a long day of exploring.
The breakfast buffet lives up to its reputation, with over sixty Japanese and Western dishes made from fresh ingredients. The staff are polite and gentle, and the luggage storage service is a great convenience.
Located in a vibrant North District, there are convenience stores and restaurants right downstairs. First off, the location is excellent, right next to Shin-Osaka Station, about a 5-minute walk. This station is incredibly convenient, with the Midosuji Line subway, and a starting train every 10 minutes, so you don't have to worry about not getting a seat. Shinkansen and local lines are also very accessible.
Secondly, the hotel seems to be newly built, and both the exterior and interior decor are very upscale. There's a large public bath on the 4th floor, a Lawson convenience store downstairs, and a Sukiya and a pharmacy nearby. The amenities are very comprehensive!
This time, we chose the Royal Premiere Room. I read reviews mentioning a washing machine, and to my surprise, there really was one! They even provide a packet of laundry detergent every day, which was a huge help. The room was also quite spacious, with two 1.6m large beds, and a fantastic view. Since it was very hot in Osaka during our stay, the hotel thoughtfully provided fans, and the staff were quite friendly!
We didn't hear any noise during our stay, so the soundproofing is pretty good. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

The location is unbeatable, very close to Shinsaibashi, and the station is within walking distance. There's a convenience store right downstairs.
The service is very thoughtful. They provide free daily necessities, and both the toiletries and complimentary samples are from DHC. Upon check-in, they even gave us two fish soups – yes, fish soup, the kind you steep like a tea bag.
The hotel cleans every three days, so if you're planning a longer stay, you might want to keep that in mind.
Almost every floor has a washing machine and an ice maker, and I absolutely loved the ice maker.
The hotel offers a luggage scale and a vacuum compression bag vending machine. I didn't need them, but I think it's a very thoughtful touch.
The environment is quite good, especially compared to other hotels near Shinsaibashi. The room size is decent, not super large of course, but for this location, it's excellent.

The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the check-in process step-by-step. The soundproofing was excellent; we barely heard any noise from other guests, and the room was spacious enough to open our 24-inch suitcase. While the hotel is a bit of a walk from Tennoji Station, about 10 minutes, there's a slight uphill section that can be a bit challenging with luggage. However, the hotel itself is excellent. The bathroom was even slightly bigger than a standard one, and besides the shower, the hotel also has its own public bath, and provides yukata (Japanese robes), which was a lovely touch. The hotel's in-house travel magazine was also a great read, offering a very enjoyable regional breakdown of recommended dining, entertainment, and attractions in Osaka and Kyoto. Guest UserGuest UserThe apartment is located close to several subway stations, making it very easy to get to. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, and Shinsekai with its tower is also within walking distance. You can easily reach the city center either on foot or by subway.
The apartment was well-equipped with a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, towels, and kitchen utensils. The only things missing were disposable toothbrushes. There are no phone adapters provided, but you can buy them at electronics stores or convenience stores (konbini), so it wasn't an issue.
Keep in mind that this is an apartment in a regular residential building rather than a hotel, so some things are beyond the host's control. For instance, the day after our arrival, we were woken up at 9 AM by loud construction noise next door, and later the water was shut off.
Overall, everything was fine except that on our last day before departure, we found a cockroach in the bathroom. Customer support initially replied that they would ”look into it the next day,” and later messaged that they would allow us a late checkout (the original checkout time was 10 AM, and they extended it to 12 PM). However, things got a bit confusing after that. The next morning, just in case, we asked if we could leave our bags for an hour to grab breakfast and come back for them. They said no, but offered an alternative luggage storage option, and added that our checkout time was actually 11 AM, and staying from 11 AM to 12 PM would incur a fee—even though nothing of the sort had been mentioned earlier. I reminded them of their previous message, and after a while, they wrote back saying, ”Yes, you can stay until 12 PM,” which caused a lot of confusion. In any case, we hadn't planned on staying that late anyway and checked out before 11 AM.
