Centara Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai

The room was very spacious, clean, and the bed was soft and comfortable. The water pressure was strong, and the staff were very attentive and accommodating to my requests.

Though a bit old, the hotel was very clean and odorless. The breakfast was decent and quite international. There were many Koreans staying there, and I also saw a lot of Indian tour groups.

Pros: Riverside location, some rooms offer river and Doi Suthep views; spacious and clean rooms; diverse breakfast options including Chinese, Western, and Thai cuisine; friendly staff, able to communicate in Chinese, free luggage storage; convenient transportation, affordable taxi rides to night markets/Old City. Cons: Some floors have slightly outdated facilities, and hallway lighting is dim; non-river view rooms have average scenery; hotel F&B prices are a bit high. Overall, suitable for travelers who value views and have a moderate budget; recommend booking a river view room in advance and avoiding rooms facing the street or utility rooms for a better experience.

The room was clean, the bed was soft, and the water pressure was great – I loved it! Minus points for the showerhead leaking and spraying water; I had to tighten it myself. After checking into the room, the extra bed I had booked in advance still wasn't prepared.

The hotel is a bit old. I was given a river view room, but the river was a little murky. There's a 7-Eleven and a fried chicken place downstairs. It's a tiny bit far from the old town, but the service and food were okay.
