voco Bangkok Surawong by IHG

The hotel is very new and not too far from the subway station. Public transportation from the airport is very convenient. There is a 7-Eleven right across the street where you can buy all your essentials, plus a trendy streetwear shop downstairs and a whole street of spas opposite. Super convenient!!

The staff were warm and proactive. There is a 7-Eleven right across the street downstairs, as well as a massage street. It really brought a lot of pleasant surprises! The location is great, very close to Chulalongkorn University, and finding food is never a problem. A fantastic hotel.

As soon as we walked into the room, there was a very obvious damp and musty odor. The room is overall very small and lacks ventilation facilities. After taking a shower, the entire room stays damp and humid, and there were even earplugs left behind by the previous guest under the bed.

I had high expectations for an IHG brand hotel, but it was quite a disappointment. Aside from the small room size, upon check-in the bathroom had a strong, foul odor—literally smelling like human waste. I have no idea what the previous guest did in there, but it was thoroughly gross. Furthermore, there were constantly little bugs flying around the room. The swimming pool is lovely, but perhaps because of its proximity to the restaurant, it always smelled of barbecue smoke and cooking oil.

The front desk lady speaks Chinese, which was very helpful. Although the room was a bit small, it was very clean and well-equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. The service was excellent, truly outstanding. In comparison, the Voco hotels in China feel like they're just rebranded. Getting a taxi anywhere is convenient, and there's a 7-Eleven right across the street. The only downside is that the street gets a bit too 'local' at night, with quite a few small creatures crawling around. If you're afraid of bugs, I'd recommend taking a taxi directly from the lobby when going out or returning at night, and avoid walking.

Great location, not far from the subway station—just a 5 to 6-minute walk. The hotel environment is also lovely, and the pool has a gorgeous design. I'd recommend staying for more than 2 days. You can easily transfer to the subway nearby to reach the cruise port and check out the stunning night market at the pier. Highly recommended!

The room was very new, and most importantly, the pool was incredibly comfortable! There are many massage parlors right across from the hotel, with The Green and The Prime Massage being very close by.

The room was a bit compact, but the space was practical and didn't feel cramped. The bathroom and shower were very clean. The location is very convenient, close to the BTS Skytrain and a large shopping mall. Right next door is Health Land, a chain of mid-to-high-end Thai massage spas, and across the street is a 7-Eleven. The breakfast was above average, and the bar was good too, although the selection of drinks was a bit limited. This is a hotel I would choose again.

Location: The hotel is in a great location, about seven or eight minutes from the subway station, so it's not too far to get anywhere. The room was a bit small, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was cramped, but it was quite comfortable and quiet. The drinks in the room are chargeable, and I ended up drinking them all because I didn't see any labels indicating a charge. You can see the Pixel Building from the room. The public areas are quite beautiful, and the pool and breakfast were both very good. If the price were a bit lower, I would consider staying at voco Bangkok Surawong by IHG again.
