In New York, If you don't want to pay extra for bottled water in your room on top of hundreds of dollars for the stay, please read the terms in Picture 1 carefully [crying with laughter emoji]. If you want the 'Do Not Disturb' sign to stay on your door, remember to pick it up every time it falls off the doorknob [smirking emoji]. Also, Housekeeping carts will be 'standing by' in the hallway outside your room 24/7. Every time you shower, water will leak from the shower stall into the room's hallway. And then, Occasionally, you might get a 'surprise' of cockroaches 'adding to' your breakfast [golden potato emoji]. The hotel will calmly tell you to find the restaurant manager because their breakfast service is outsourced. If you can serenely accept all of this, congratulations, this hotel is for you: Hilton Garden Inn New York/Central Park South-Midtown West.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the subway station, and within walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, MoMA, and Broadway. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The rooms are clean and tidied daily. Each room comes with a microwave and coffee maker, but no kettle. Bottled water is available for a fee. Breakfast vouchers need to be collected from the front desk every day. Waiting for elevators can take a while during peak hours, especially when heading out. Be aware that the air conditioning, water heater, and refrigerator in the room can be quite noisy, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to consider other options.

Good value for money. The location is excellent, right in Midtown Manhattan, near Broadway and the Theater District, making it convenient to get around. Breakfast was just okay; you might be better off eating out. To my surprise, they didn't charge for luggage storage after checkout. I still tipped the young man who helped with my bags a few dollars when I left.

I came to New York alone for Thanksgiving break as a college student. Most hotels in NYC strictly require guests to be 21 or older to check in. After searching for a long time on Trip.com, I finally found this hotel (not a hostel) that allows 18+ guests to check in by themselves. I even had Trip.com customer service confirm it with the hotel, which was a huge help! The location is great, just a short walk to Times Square and Broadway theaters, very convenient. I had read reviews about slow elevators, but I hardly experienced any issues during my three-day stay. Overall, it was a good experience, and if I come back to New York before I turn 21, I'd definitely stay here again! 😄
