JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku

The hotel's location is so-so. It's close to Shinjuku Station, but if you want to go to the bustling shopping areas, you have to go up and down a big staircase, which was a bit tiring for my family. There's a convenience store downstairs, which is very handy for buying things. There's a water dispenser in the hallway, but I didn't drink the hotel's water, and there was no free bottled water. Other than that, everything else was pretty good. This hotel's cleaning policy is the opposite of the one we stayed at in Osaka. In Osaka, you had to put a sign on the door if you wanted your room cleaned, but here, you only put a sign on the door if you *don't* want it cleaned; otherwise, they'll come in and clean it for you. We also paid a 1500 yen tax upon check-in.

The Shinjuku Line is incredibly confusing. The first time I went to the hotel, I wandered around for half an hour. I later realized you should absolutely *not* exit from the New South Gate, as it leads directly to the bus terminal and the NEWoMan building, and there are no elevators to get down from there. Since you're in Shinjuku Station, you really have no idea what floor you're on. If you have large luggage, remember to exit from the South Gate, which is the ground-level exit of Shinjuku Station. Cross the street and take two turns, and you'll be at the hotel. If you don't get lost, it's only a few minutes' walk. The hotel's location was definitely a major selling point, making it convenient to go anywhere you want. As for the hotel itself, the environment is also very good and quite new. The twin room was actually quite spacious, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering an expansive view. Other than being a bit pricey, there are no complaints!

The hotel is conveniently located, about a 5-minute walk from both the bus and subway stations. However, since the walk is outdoors, it can be a bit inconvenient if it's raining or very sunny. The room was small (a common issue in Japanese hotels) and the facilities were a bit outdated. The service attitude was acceptable.

Excellent location, perfect for a shopping stopover without getting tired. Plenty of options for dining, entertainment, and shopping. If you prioritize the shopping experience over the hotel experience, you can book this place without hesitation.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times now. The surrounding transportation is very convenient, and it's easy to shop and find great food. The hotel facilities are simple and clean, check-in is a breeze, and I always get a good floor.
