The Nimman Hotel

First off, the location is fantastic! It's in the Nimman area, close to Chiang Mai University, directly across from the champion latte art flagship store. Michelin-starred Aunt Aoy Kitchen, roadside bird's nest stalls, and One Nimman are all within a 10-minute walk. Super convenient! The hotel itself offers breakfast, and it looked really good, but unfortunately, we slept in every morning and missed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even had Chinese-speaking employees, so there's no need to worry if you're not fluent in English. As for noise, there's not much to say. All hotels in Nimman are affected by planes taking off and landing at Chiang Mai Airport. I personally didn't find it to be a big issue, but if you're a very light sleeper, you might consider staying in the Old City instead.

The room wasn't very big. Although the ground floor room had a window, it looked out onto a lot of clutter with no view whatsoever, so we kept the curtains closed the whole time, making the window pretty useless. The wet and dry separation in the bathroom wasn't great. Overall, it was quite clean and hygienic, and we could grab bottled water from the fridge opposite the front desk. Both the front desk staff and the breakfast staff were very nice.
