The Nimman Hotel

The hotel's location is excellent; you can walk to Maya Mall and the Chiang Mai University Night Market. Warorot Market and JJ Market are also just a 15-minute scooter ride away. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the chicken congee – its sour and spicy flavor was perfect for me. The only downside was the weak water pressure, which made showering and washing my hair a bit inconvenient.

Pros: They have a pool and breakfast, and you can drink unlimited bottled water. The room has a drying rack, which was great for hanging washed clothes and underwear. For larger items, we sent them out for washing and drying. The open hanging space was very generous, which is a plus. Just a short walk outside, there are plenty of food options and massage places, and if you walk a bit further, you'll find shopping areas and malls. The staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Cons: The shower drainage was quite slow. We stayed in a family suite with two beds and two separate rooms, but there was only one bathroom. The other room just had a sink, meaning there was only one toilet and one shower. Given the slow drainage, we had to space out our shower times. So, if anyone in your group particularly likes using the bathroom, I'd suggest considering booking two separate rooms instead of this suite. We chose the suite mainly for the convenience of chatting together.

The hotel's breakfast buffet is decent, especially if you're not a picky eater. Right outside, there's a super cheap coffee shop where you can get a cup for just 40 baht, and after collecting 8 cups, you get one free! As you enter the hotel, there's a cute welcoming statue, and right next to it is the pool – perfect for a morning or evening swim. There's also an incredibly delicious Pad Kra Pao place nearby! While it's a bit pricier than the one by Chiang Mai University, it's super convenient because it's so close. Plus, Nimman Road is nearby for easy shopping!

First off, the location is fantastic! It's in the Nimman area, close to Chiang Mai University, directly across from the champion latte art flagship store. Michelin-starred Aunt Aoy Kitchen, roadside bird's nest stalls, and One Nimman are all within a 10-minute walk. Super convenient! The hotel itself offers breakfast, and it looked really good, but unfortunately, we slept in every morning and missed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even had Chinese-speaking employees, so there's no need to worry if you're not fluent in English. As for noise, there's not much to say. All hotels in Nimman are affected by planes taking off and landing at Chiang Mai Airport. I personally didn't find it to be a big issue, but if you're a very light sleeper, you might consider staying in the Old City instead.
