BlueSky Hotel

There were a few good restaurants nearby, and best of all, the room was spacious, which I really liked. However, since I booked the lowest-grade room, the window view was a bit of a letdown ㅠㅠ. If I go again, I'll pay a bit more for a higher floor. The old town was dark, but the area in front of the hotel was well-lit, which was nice.

The hotel has a charming, vintage-inspired atmosphere, with a whole wall in the lobby perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. The rooms are clean, tidy, and spacious. The only downside is the limited dining options nearby, though you'll find more choices about a 10-minute walk away at Taichung Station. It's a good option if you prefer a quiet environment. The front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic.

The location is convenient, with a convenience store not far away and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room decor is quite new and very comfortable. The hotel also provides some complimentary snacks in the room.

It was great to escape the heat as soon as I entered the hotel. Although I couldn't check in early, I had a comfortable stay once I got in. It was also nice to be able to relax even after checking out.

The room was spacious, and the complimentary snacks and drinks were a thoughtful touch. The soundproofing was good too. The location was relatively easy to find, and the sandwich shop next door was delicious.

The interior design is so stylish! From the reception, the steampunk-like industrial theme really created an exciting atmosphere. The room was luxurious, complete with a Nespresso machine, tea, and even welcome snacks. Although the staff mentioned they weren't fluent in Japanese, they were incredibly helpful, even showing me the bus stop for Guguan Hot Springs on Google Maps for the next morning. Speaking of helpfulness, that night I had trouble connecting to Trip.com and chatted with their operator; the hotel's Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver. I even walked to and from Chun Shui Tang's original store, but during hot weather, a taxi might be a better idea. The taxi driver on the way there told me the sandwiches next door were delicious (turns out it's a famous spot!). The location is fantastic, and the breakfast across the intersection was absolutely delicious. After just one night, I felt completely refreshed and walked back to Taichung Station.

The famous Hsin Tung Yang (洪瑞珍) sandwich shop on the ground floor was a great landmark. The building looked historic from the outside, but the interior was beautifully renovated. I requested housekeeping after 2 PM, and they came right away, which was very helpful. It's also conveniently located within walking distance of the Fourth Credit Union and Miyahara Ice Cream.
