I must say, five stars! The hotel's service and quality are impeccable. The location is also excellent, with fantastic views. I especially recommend the rooms with courtyards and private hot springs.

Located on the banks of the Katsura River, next to Togetsukyo Bridge, in the heart of Arashiyama, this ryokan offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle, boasting stunning scenery and a rustic charm that soothes the mind and body. The ryokan features traditional Japanese architecture, a garden, and service; even the yukata (bathrobes) are in the traditional Japanese style, making you feel as if you've stepped back into ancient Kyoto. The ryokan has a public onsen (hot spring) and private onsen in each room, both located in Arashiyama's natural hot springs. The staff are incredibly warm and attentive, yet very restrained. Breakfast is traditional Japanese cuisine with fresh ingredients, and the rice is especially delicious 😋. Highly recommended.

The room was very large. I initially didn't get a first-floor room with a garden, but after communicating with the hotel, they moved me there because they had a room available. The environment was great! As for breakfast and dinner, I was very happy with them. The tofu and fried fish, in particular, tasted exactly like the ones I make back home. The presentation was impeccable, but there were just too many cold dishes. The tatami mats were clean, but walking barefoot was a bit painful. 😭 Right outside the door was Togetsukyo Bridge, which was incredibly beautiful on a clear day. I regretted only spending three days in Arashiyama. Later, I went to Shijo and found the mountains more comfortable. There are also plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. Overall, this place is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The hostess and the wait staff were very friendly and recommended good restaurants. I'll stay here again!

The room was spacious, clean, and hygienic. Most of the staff were very polite, except for one female staff member who was a bit unfriendly. It's not very close to the subway station. However, there's a small shopping street right outside the door that's quite nice to browse.
