I also purchased tickets for my family members using my own account, and they were able to use the PDF file downloaded from the email screen and enlarged and captured only the QR code (for my family members, I transferred it to the LINE chat screen). There was a scanner at the light rail station, but it displayed an error, so there was no need to scan it.★
