▲ Over 500 years ago, silver mines were discovered here, giving the area its name "Ginzan" (Silver Mountain). Several traditional Japanese inns were built along the steaming Ginzan River, leading to the name Ginzan Onsen. Along this river, Ginzan Onsen features wooden buildings constructed from the Taisho era to the early Showa period. Nearly all the inns here have a century-long history, totaling 12 establishments.
