Reviews: Mauritius: 5 Islands of the East Speedboat Tour with BBQ

We had very bad weather in the morning, which delayed the tour by half an hour. That wasn't a problem, though. The guides are the best judges of these conditions. And later we were really lucky with the weather. There was plenty of time to explore the islands. The lighthouse island, in particular, offers a spectacular setting. Unforgettable. A wonderful underwater world opened up while snorkeling. There was enough time to explore everything. The barbecue was great: chicken, salad, bread, and fish on a beautiful beach with a fantastic view. We were provided with plenty of drinks during the tour. We spotted a large sea turtle, but no dolphins. But these creatures don't come on demand. The waterfall was also very impressive. The only slightly bothersome thing was the many boats. But the waterfall is, after all, a very popular spot. The guide was friendly and helpful, and we felt well looked after and safe the whole time.
Reviews: Mauritius Blue Bay Glass Bottom Boat Snorkeling + Pont Naturel 4WD Day Tour [Pure Fun]

Our flight from Shanghai to Mauritius landed too early, and we had to wait a long time to get to the hotel, so we booked this half-day airport transfer tour. Although it was a bit pricey, we were very satisfied overall. Since there were no other tourists that day, we essentially had a private car. As this is a review after returning from Mauritius, I felt that Mauritius didn't have many sights, so the Natural Bridge was pretty much the only one. The Blue Bay glass-bottom boat was decent; luckily, there were only the two of us and the guide on the boat, so it felt like we had the boat to ourselves, which was great. I especially appreciated the guide for giving us Mauritian commemorative coins upon arrival (although I haven't opened them yet), saving us the trouble of collecting them – a very nice touch. Lunch was at a local Chinese restaurant; the chicken and beef portions were generous, and they even gave us a large bottle of mineral water, exceeding our expectations and deserving praise. Mauritius is full of sugarcane fields, and the island itself was just average. Since we booked the Four Seasons, the overall experience was okay, but I probably won't go back. However, for future travelers, I would still recommend this service; it's definitely worth it.
