🌈 Rainbows and Waterfalls 🌈
#chasingwaterfalls
Huangguoshu Waterfall is a real spectacle! If you hit it after recent rainfall its at its most beautiful but even without that it remains an incredible waterfall! Work your way around to experience the rainbow at the bottom 😍
Be warned, the queue is crazy! My advice would be to go there as early as possible and make your way straight to the majn waterfall. You can spend the rest of your time exploring the surrounding the area which is also very beautiful and has many smaller waterfalls and walks for you to enjoy.

Huangguoshu - the biggest waterfall in China
The waterfall is amazing! Especially when you are going through the tunnel under it.
But gosh, it was sososo crowded this July: in the line in the tunnel people almost didn't move... So I have mixed feelings from the trip...
Still glad we saw that beauty and power.
To get there we took a hello taxi from Guiyang

Guizhou's cherry blossom forest, spanning thousands of acres, is about to bloom!
The world's largest cherry blossom forest is in Pingba, Guizhou!
It opens annually in late March, a once-a-year event, and the scene is really superb, with cherry blossoms raining down everywhere.
Because the area is so vast, it's easy to find a secluded corner to take photos all day long.
However, the best view is definitely from the cliffs where you can overlook a panoramic half-view, especially suitable for shooting landscape images!

Dragon Palace Cave (Long Gong) Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Boat ride through a cave 🚤
If you're in Anshun, this is the major attraction you must visit from my experience ( Dragon palace cave) 🍂. Even though huangguoshu waterfall is the famous this cave is outstanding ✨. You can take a boat ride two way through the cave ⛵️. The cave is beautifully lighted up with colorful lights. You have to be little careful during the ride through narrow paths and sharpened rocks.
There is beautiful waterfalls inside and will be little strong during the raining season.

Please don't Miss out. 🏞
This beautiful loong field is behind the ticket office. We need to go right to take the sightseeing bus 🚌 but we need to go left around 150 meters to get to this amazing view ✨. This place is around 16km from Anshun city. Cheapest way to travel is by bus 🚌. You can take bus from Anshun east bus station and it costs around 12 RMB 💴 per person for one side.

An absolute stunner!
This was so much better than I expected it to be. It is absolutely stunning! I really recommend this to anyone that wants to escape into nature, likes butterflies and enjoys walking through beautiful scenery. The best parts were walking over the mountain as we were the only ones doing it and then walking back to the ticket office instead of taking the tourist bus back.

Tianxingqiao Scenic Area Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Guizhou Second Stop | Huangguoshu Waterfall
| Huangguoshu Waterfall. In the morning, I took the high-speed train from Guiyang North at 7:33, and arrived at Anshun West at 8:02
After exiting Anshun West, follow the signs for Huangguoshu to the transfer station (about 5-8 minutes), buy a ticket at the service desk and take the bus (22 yuan/person), which takes about 30-40 minutes. After getting off the bus, walk to the entrance of the scenic area (3-5 minutes)
Scenic Area Ticket: Guangdong residents are still free, sightseeing car 50 yuan/person, other tickets can be temporarily not bought, they are available inside.
There are three attractions in total: Huangguoshu Great Waterfall - Tianxing Bridge - Steep Slope Pond
(Note that the sightseeing cars inside are one-way, with Steep Slope Pond being the closest, the Great Waterfall the farthest, and Tianxing Bridge in the middle. I went to the Great Waterfall first, so to go to Tianxing Bridge for the second stop, I had to go back to Steep Slope Pond first)
First Stop: Huangguoshu Great Waterfall
After the sightseeing car arrived at the Great Waterfall, we didn't take the escalator down, but walked down the stairs directly. Along the way, you can see the waterfall from a distance, and it's not tiring at all except for the strain on the knees. Along the way, you will see viewing platforms one after another, and finally go to the Water Curtain Cave (you can bring a raincoat in advance). After passing through the Water Curtain Cave, take the escalator to the starting point of the sightseeing car (escalator 30/person, round trip seems to be 50/person). Although it's only a 2-3 minute ride, I really didn't want to walk any extra.
Second Stop: Tianxing Bridge
I did some research and heard that the upper half of Tianxing Bridge is quite boring, so I only went to the lower half. After arriving by the sightseeing car, don't swipe your ID card to enter!! Walk to the left and go up the stairs!! It's right above the ticket checkpoint!! Keep walking straight (you will see many people walking in the opposite direction along the way, because if you only walk the lower half, the way in and out will overlap a bit). Along the way, you will see the Ponytail Waterfall - fruit-selling aunties - McDonald's KFC, and then you officially start walking the lower half. After reaching the Tianxing Bridge attraction, you can take the cable car back according to the signs for 10 yuan/person. After taking the cable car, a sightseeing car will take you to Gaolaozhuang, near where the fruit-selling aunties are, and you start walking the repetitive part of the way in. Finally, take the bus back to the entrance of the scenic area at Tianxing Bridge Station, because I didn't go to Steep Slope Pond.
After returning to the entrance of the scenic area, also take the bus to Anshun West Station, the same 22 yuan/person, 30-40 minutes.
Time: I walked a bit faster, arriving at Anshun West Station at 8:10 in the morning, and was back inside Anshun West Station at 15:25 in the afternoon. Remember to reserve 40 minutes for the bus ride from the scenic area to the high-speed rail station. The bus normally runs every 30-40 minutes, but sometimes it will depart early when full, so it's best to reserve more time, otherwise, you might miss the high-speed train.
Overall: I feel that going to the Great Waterfall for the first stop is better, avoiding the crowd, and going to take beautiful photos first. If you go to Tianxing Bridge first, you'll probably be completely exhausted afterwards. Recently it's the dry season so there aren't too many people, avoiding the crowd for a better experience!

Guizhou Tourism | About the Tour Routes of Huangguoshu Waterfall
📝Huangguoshu Waterfall is mainly divided into three areas: Huangguoshu Great Waterfall, Tianxing Bridge, and Doupotang
1⃣️Huangguoshu Waterfall 2h
The walking route here is a circular one around the Great Waterfall, allowing for a comprehensive view of the waterfall scenery. If lucky, you might even see a rainbow🌈. The Water Curtain Cave you pass through in the middle is quite interesting. If you want to see it, be sure to walk down and don't take the escalator‼️
2⃣️Tianxing Bridge 3h
This is the most leg-exhausting attraction🙋🏻♀️. The Tianxing Cave and the Yinchuan Waterfall are both in the latter half. It's recommended to skip the first half of Gao Laozhuang and directly walk the latter half to save a lot of energy and time🥳
3⃣️Doupotang 1h
Short in duration and friendly🐒, it's the filming location for Journey to the West. If you're short on time, you can skip it👋🏻
🏠Name: Huangguoshu Scenic Area (5A)

Nanning Guizhou - Huangguoshu Scenic Area
Transportation: Take the high-speed train from Guiyang North to Anshun West at 7:36 am (46.5 yuan/person), the journey takes about 40 minutes. After getting off the station, take the bus (22 yuan/person) to Huangguoshu Scenic Area, the journey takes about 50 minutes.
Scenic area tickets: Tickets + round-trip escalator tickets have been purchased in advance. After arriving at the ticket center (I have to say that this ticket center is too old), you can directly swipe your ID card to take the scenic bus.
Tour route: Big Waterfall Tianxing Bridge Steep Slope
Because my plan is to finish in one day, so I took an earlier high-speed train to depart, but when I arrived at the big waterfall escalator, it was already 10 o'clock. Fortunately, it was not a holiday, so there were not too many people.
◆Big Waterfall: The overall tour time is 1.5 hours. Taking the escalator up and down can save a lot of time and conserve physical strength. The water curtain cave area is close to the waterfall and the water mist is very large. It is recommended to wear a raincoat. There are cheap ones for sale at the entrance of the scenic area and inside.
! Be careful of the rocks above your head when entering the water curtain cave. It is best to wear a hat to prevent bumps! !◆Tianxing Bridge: The overall tour time is 4 hours. I originally wanted to only walk the second half of the route as mentioned in the guide, but I couldn't find the way. There were no signs along the way, and the people I asked didn't know. After going the wrong way for half an hour, I decided to return and start from the first half. The people who walked this way doubted life, because there were no beautiful scenery on the road, let alone people. There were stairs up and down all the way, which was simply frustrating. Don't go to the first half if you are in a hurry! !
The Silver Chain Waterfall is indeed very beautiful and special, but the plank roads around the waterfall are particularly narrow, and it may be difficult to take pictures on holidays.
After watching the Silver Chain Waterfall, we took the cable car (10 yuan/person). The cable car journey is very short. After getting off, you still need to walk for 20 minutes to reach the sightseeing car transfer point. After getting on the sightseeing car, we were forcibly taken to the commercial street. After walking through the long commercial street, we arrived at the scenic bus transfer point and took the bus to the next scenic spot.
Steep Slope Pond: The overall tour time is 1 hour. The best place to walk is the Steep Slope Pond Scenic Area. The entire scenic area is not large, the roads are very flat, there are not many stairs. Seeing other people's guides often choose to give up coming here, but it's actually worth seeing. The waterfall is very wide, and you can see a white piece like silk from a distance, shining under the sun.
When leaving the scenic area by bus, the bus will take the tourists to another commercial street. After going out, you need to take the scenic bus out of the scenic area again.
The overall planning of the scenic area is detours, countless commercial streets, leg-wasting. It is a one-time tourist attraction, and you will basically not come again after you have been here.
The only commendable thing is that the face recognition system in the scenic area is very sensitive. You only need to swipe your ID card once when you enter the park, and then you only need to swipe your face.

Exploring the Star Bridge
On the second day, I got up early, had a quick breakfast, and rushed to the ferry station. I didn't do my homework yesterday and forgot whether to go to the big waterfall or the Star Bridge first. While hesitating, I heard the small loudspeaker at the station say: Go to the Star Bridge first, then to the big waterfall, which can save time. People have to take advice, so let's go to the Star Bridge first.
The Star Bridge is located at the southernmost part of the Huangguoshu Scenic Area, which is the largest and most time-consuming of the three main scenic areas, including the Star Basin, Star Cave, and Water Stone Forest. The area is divided into the first and second half by Gao Laozhuang. As everyone knows, the most beautiful Star Cave and Silver Chain Waterfall are in the second half.
The first half doesn't take too long to walk. In my opinion, there is no need to take the 'shortcut' to Gao Laozhuang from the exit. The most impressive thing is the number of steps, with cacti growing on the strange rocks, and the stones winding in the water, which I have never seen before and can't help but marvel. The Beauty Banyan is just a big banyan tree, with roots twining like a girl. A tour guide was explaining there seriously, which gave me a chance to surpass.
When you see the fountain in the lake, you have arrived at Gao Laozhuang. The tour group started to go back, and the less crowded side naturally is the second half, and there is also a sign above. The fewer people go forward, the fewer people, and soon there are only four or five sparse ones. The bridge on the bridge is an excellent point for taking pictures, and more and more people come. There is an iron gate at the entrance of the Star Cave. If you accidentally go down, you will miss it. The Star Cave is a typical karst cave. The entrance is narrow and long, and it gets wider as you go, until you walk into the cave hall. The stalactites in the cave hall are colorful under the light, which is quite amazing. After leaving the Star Cave, walk for a few minutes, and you can see the famous Silver Chain Waterfall. After the waterfall, bypass the stone forest, turn to the Flying Waterfall Bridge, and the cable car is not far away. After a big circle, I consumed a lot of physical strength. I still have to go to the big waterfall later, so I must take the cable car. Cable car, walk, ferry, walk again, smoke out of the scenic area, it is already noon.

Around the Country Series 99 Libo Small Seven Holes

The Small Seven Holes Ancient Bridge was built in the 15th year of the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (1835). It was an important route for business travel from southern Guizhou to Guangxi, spanning the Resounding River.
🚗Highlights:
National 5A level scenic spot, there are two original stone steles at the head of the bridge, one is the 'Repair Monument', inscribing the merit of building the bridge; the other is the 'Everlasting Prosperous Bridge Monument', engraved with the couplet 'Thousands of years of mountain rocks and waves, ten thousand years of Resounding River Bridge'. The bridge has seven holes, commonly known as the 'Small Seven Holes Ancient Bridge'.
🎫Ticket Information:
Ticket + scenic area car 150
✨Travel Suggestions:
It is recommended to drive by yourself. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Libo County to the Small and Big Seven Holes. When you arrive at the entrance of the scenic area, take the scenic bus on the left to the Small Seven Holes, and the Big Seven Holes is on the right for walking. There are small electric cars to shuttle between the various attractions of the Small Seven Holes, or you can walk, but it is quite far. It is recommended to take the sightseeing car at any time. The most famous is still the Small Seven Holes Bridge, of course, there will be a lot of people taking pictures on the bridge.

Places you must visit in your lifetime
If you have been to three, you can show off in front of your friends; if you can go to more than half, then you are the king of the travel industry.
1. Mount Laojun: Located in Henan, Mount Laojun is a real palace in the sky. The mountains here are green and the temples are solemn, giving a mysterious and quiet feeling. It is worth mentioning that it is not open to foreigners.
2. The Forbidden City: The glory and shock of the Forbidden City are indescribable. Walking in this former royal palace, you will deeply understand the profound cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.
3. Jiuzhaigou: After returning from Jiuzhaigou, you will not look at water, and after returning from the Five Mountains, you will not look at mountains. The lakes, waterfalls, and colorful forests of Jiuzhaigou make people feel like they are in a fairyland on earth.
4. Changbai Mountain: You must bring your loved one here, the whole Tianchi and water monsters are confessing to you. In winter, Changbai Mountain is covered with snow, like a beautiful painting.
5. Libo Xiaoqikong: The emerald left by God in the world. It combines the mountains and waters of Zhangjiajie and Jiuzhaigou, which is very beautiful.
6. Wuyuan: Half mountain mist and half mountain yellow, better than the living paradise on earth. The rural scenery of Wuyuan is simple and elegant, intoxicating.
7. Enshi: Go to Xianbenna in China, cross the Pingshan Grand Canyon, and stay in the cliff glass house in the heart of the earth valley. The landscape here is so beautiful that it makes people's hearts move.
8. Hulunbuir: Here, you can ride a horse on the grassland and feel the freedom of the wind. Blue sky, white clouds, green grass, constitute the unique magnificent scenery of Hulunbuir.
The above 8 places, both the natural wonders and the treasures of the world. Walking through these places, you will gain a unique travel memory. In the future, why not include them one by one and become the king of the travel industry.

May Day holiday is over, we avoided the peak travel season and signed up for a group tour to Guizhou that we had been longing for on Ctrip. Some experiences: 1. The cheap air tickets booked on Ctrip, the outbound flight of 9 Yuan Airlines was delayed for three hours, and we arrived at the hotel after 11 pm. The return flight of West Air was delayed for more than an hour, and we arrived home at almost 1 am. The seats could only be at a right angle, which was uncomfortable for me with protruding intervertebral discs, neither standing nor sitting. 2. Very tired! Average of over 20,000 steps per day, mostly climbing mountains! The first day at Huangguoshu Waterfall was okay, the waterfall was quite magnificent, but we, in our seventies, were deterred by the Water Curtain Cave. The second day at Fanjing Mountain, it was cloudy at the foot of the mountain and raining on the mountain. After hearing from young people who came down from the mountain with strong bodies, "I didn't see anything!" we took the cable car back without hesitation. None of the people who continued to climb the mountain reached the summit, and most of them returned disappointed after reaching the Mushroom Stone. They regretted it and were fortunate for their foresight. 😄 (It is said that there are 300 days a year when you can't see the scenery). In the morning of the third day, we visited the ancient town of Zhenyuan, which left a good impression. There were few people, it had history and heritage, and the commercial atmosphere was not too strong. No need to climb mountains, suitable for the elderly. In the afternoon, Qianhu Miao Village had too strong a commercial atmosphere, and the commercial street was full of humanistic landscapes created for tourism. There were photo studios everywhere renting Miao costumes for taking pictures. We experienced the long table banquet and had a good time. The night view was lively, suitable for young people. On the fourth day, we visited the Seven Small Arches, with the small arches as the main attraction. It was indeed a bit like what the tour guide said: looking up to Zhangjiajie, looking down to Jiuzhaigou, and enjoying the pleasant scenery of small Guizhou in the middle. Guizhou Province is not small, but Jiuzhaigou is more magnificent and colorful. If you can't go to Jiuzhaigou, go to Seven Small Arches. 3. The accommodation was okay, especially for the first three days. Qianhu Miao Village was the worst, with a slight smell of sewage, and we could still hear people talking in the corridor at one or two o'clock in the middle of the night. I don't know if it's because the room faces the corridor and has bad feng shui. 4. There are many Guizhou snacks, some of which are delicious, such as the pie with meat filling. Some people like to eat sausage and intestine noodles, but most of them don't suit their taste, especially the folded ear root, which is absolutely delicious for Guizhou people. 4. Our tour guide was quite responsible and attentive, and the young driver's service attitude was funny and cute. I have selected a few photos of Seven Small Arches and Zhenyuan Ancient City. In short, avoid the peak travel season for tourist attractions!
