If you’re doing a tour of churches in Ancona, this one is a must. Not as beautiful as the cathedral, but obviously and important church in town.
imposing location
The ornate front of this church does tempt you in, but the interior is a little plain, which contrasts with the vastness of it. Nice architecture and lovely views.
Stunning
I think this was one of my favourite churches and Piazzas in Ancona. When we visited it was quiet, early morning and mid afternoon seem best. Lots to view.
A good place to start

i liked the position. from there you can see the see and the port. the style is gothic and very well kept. there is a big double stair climbing to the church. downstairs there is an old spring coming...
