a unique entrance.

Although it is a mountain gate to the temple, the approach of the drum bridge with a roof across the moat is unique. The structure and decoration are interesting, but after all, in this space structure, people will stop to look at the water surface once on the covered bridge across the moat. It is a bridge that crosses, and although it is a gate that passes, it is always a space where people gather, and it is interesting.
It is a mountain gate of tangible cultural property designated by Tochigi Prefecture. It is located at the south entrance of Boaji Temple and was built by Yoshiteru Ashikaga in 1564. It is a powerful and good building.
Looking back on what I learned when I was in elementary school as an adult, I get a different interest. When I went to Ashikaga school, I stopped by because it was nearby, but it was good to go to a temple with a history.
The balance between the bridge and the tower gate is wonderful.

There is nothing else. Roof tiles on the bridge. The majesty of the tower gate looking up across it. Left and right Niomon. It is a place in a temple worth a visit.
A dignified atmosphere near the main hall. I just go to the main hall of the national treasure, but it is a very quaint gate. I feel history. Some people were visiting alone.
