The spring is the most wonderful.
I'm a local, so I visit this spot regularly every year, but above all, spring is wonderful. Not to mention the cherry blossoms, katakuri and Ezoengosaku are in full bloom at your feet, and there are not many tourists, so you can enjoy the spring atmosphere very quietly. There is also a campsite, so it is also recommended as a spot to enjoy outdoors in summer (and as of 2018, it is available for free).
