So this overlook literally is just off the side of the road, no large areas to pull into. It overlooks Whiteside Mountain. But the best part is during a short period in October when the sun is sett...
Once In A Lifetime
We arrived early so we would get one of a handful of parking spots for the perfect view of the impending bear's shadow. Be very careful in this area because it's right at a curve with lots of traffic....

My husband and I stopped here traveling from Cashiers to Highlands. Not much warning (sign partially covered by vegetation) and there is a small pull-off area adjacent. You have to carefully cross the...
