Very spiritual
Inaba Shrine is maybe one of the most important Shinto shrines in Gifu. I didn’t expect that it was so large. To arrive in the main building, you have to climb a long stairway, but after all it is per...
This year my son and I braved the cold and sleepiness to countdown to 2017 at this Shrine, incidentally just minutes from our apartment !(I know it's not a word!) Very" japaneseque" I'm not the re...
It is called (Zenkoji). It is a temple of the Shingon sect Daigo school, and the mountain name is Aigoyama. The principal image is Zenkoji Nyorai. It is also called Zenkoji Anjoin. The common name is "Gifu Zenkoji" and "Inami Zenkoji". It is the first temple in 88 Mino Shin-Shikoku places. I was surprised that the offering was paid with PayPay. Admission is free.
It is an old shrine that is said to have been built around Emperor Keiko, and Dosan Saito moved to his current location to build Inabayama Castle, which is the origin of the name of Inabayama. The precincts are arranged with salt plums with long and narrow drum bridges and stone steps from the mountains to the middle. There are 2 free parking lots up and down the slope. As you approach the precincts, you will be surprised at the size. The shrine maiden at the shrine office is also skillfully friendly. I liked it. Since there is no slope to the hall of worship, there is a large money box under the torii gate in front of you for those with disabilities, so it is a good idea to pray there.

A shrine derived from the name of Mt. Inaba

It's a big shrine even in the mountains.
