It is enshrined at the foot of Mt. Otoko. It is an old shrine that enshrined Otoko no Mikoto since 565. We visited Mizuo Shrine, Senhime Tenmangu Shrine, and Otokoyama Hachimangu Shrine using stone steps and looked at Himeji Castle from the park on the top of Mt. Otoko.
It was built the oldest shrine in Otokoyama (others are Otokoyama Hachimangu and Senhime Tenmangu). Harima enshrines a god called Okuninushi (Okuninushi). The hall of worship is small and the other two companies need to climb the stairs, but this is only about 8 steps. This alone is easy to visit.
Otokoyama is a mountain of 57.5m altitude west of Himeji Castle. Mizuo Shrine is 1 of 3 shrines in Otokoyama. It is a shrine enshrined at the foot of Mt. Otokoyama. I worshiped when I took a walk in Himeji in September. It is a historic shrine that enshrines Iwa Omikami in ancient times and has been said to have enshrined Omiki no Mikoto since 565. Otokoyama is a view spot of the world heritage Himeji Castle 1, so why not look at Himeji Castle while visiting 3 companies?
It is convenient to climb the stairs on the east side of the shrine from Mizuo Shrine to Otokoyama Drainage Pond Park, and if you visit Otokoyama Hachiman from Senhime Tenmangu, it is convenient to climb from the west side of the shrine.
Otokoyama distribution pond park is from the right hand of this shrine ...

After staying in Himeji City for the first time and sightseeing around Himeji Castle and its surroundings, we went west from "Shirotopia Memorial Park" to "Mizuo Shrine". There are "Chihime Tenmangu", "Otokoyama Tenmangu" and "Otokoyama Distribution Pond Park" just above this shrine. Also, if you go further west from here, you will find the Himeji Literature Museum (closed until 2016 Year 8 Moon).
