Nice old church
It's reasonably central, so if you happen to be walking past, it's worth popping in. The church has a nice wooden interior and it's obviously part of the history of the area.
It was founded as a joint Christian church in Karuizawa in 1873.

From the main street of former Karuizawa, also known as the former Karuizawa, headed east in a narrow alley to find Union Church. This church was built in 1897 as a joint Christian church in Karuizawa, where everyone, regardless of nationality or sect, can gather. The church seems to be closed except in summer, and the 5 moon we visited was quiet.
On Fridays on weekdays, before check-out, I took a walk around the standard spots of 8: 30~ and former Karuizawa. Western-style architecture that makes you feel the warmth of trees. [Walking course] Karuizawa Union Church ⇒ Karuizawa Association Tennis Court ⇒ Karuizawa Assembly Hall ⇒ Muroo Saisei Memorial Hall ⇒ Karuizawa Show Memorial Chapel ⇒ Showhouse Memorial Hall ⇒ Whispering Small diameter ⇒ House Memorial Garden ⇒ St. Paul's Church ⇒ Church Street Karuizawa ⇒ Former Karuizawa Ginza Road
I feel that there are many churches in Karuizawa, probably because foreigners used to have villas. This is one of them. The construction is simple on a wooden base.
It is built in a quiet area that spreads to the south side of the former Karugaru Ginza. Although it is a relatively small wooden church, it is said to have been renovated by the famous architect Vories. The interior was also very simple, with a cross hanging from the ceiling and a wooden worship seat.
