It is a black and white statue of Holstein. A cute calf is snuggled up. By the way, Holstein has about 1.33 million heads bred nationwide, of which about 60% are in Hokkaido.

　Tancho Kushiro Airport is the gateway to the sky in eastern Hokkaido. I think animals representing eastern Hokkaido are welcoming people who visit the airport. At the front entrance of the airport, statues of Ezo deer, brown bears, and crane butterflies are installed at moderate intervals. At the far end of the departure gate side, there was also this Holstein statue. Certainly, Holstein is also a representative animal of eastern Hokkaido.
