As a small town with centuries of history, Leiden attracts many excellent collectors because of its always strong academic atmosphere, and therefore many interesting museums. Last time I was attracted by the posters for the new exhibition hanging outside this museum, so I planned to go in and have a look. This is a museum about people What is there about the museum of mankind? What impressed me most was the exhibits displayed in the museum's Southeast Asian research area, especially the stone carvings from Indonesia, which gave me a very preliminary understanding of the religious culture in Indonesian culture for the first time. I was surprised to find that in this museum far from East Asia, you can actually see very beautiful Japanese lacquer exhibits, whose exquisite and delicate workmanship and uniqueness are all Japanese lacquer exhibits I have not seen before. The most recent special exhibition is about shamanic culture and people and souls. The presentations range from people who still hold a strong belief in shamanic rituals and shamanic culture to telling their stories in videos, to contemporary installations, to souvenirs and photographs of shamanic and spiritual cultures in different regions. There are also displays of various instruments for carrying out the shamanic ritual and some herbs that can assist the ritual. One of the videos I was more impressed by was a shaman artist facing a stranger sitting opposite her, the two of them relatively speechless and subtle emotional changes.

The Leiden Museum of Ethnology, the museum of ethnology, shows the cultural achievements of the world, especially Indonesia, which was long colonized by the Netherlands, so the Netherlands and the local area have close economic and cultural contacts.

The experience is very good, the price is fair, will come again next time.^◡^.
The museum is next to the canal and the environment is quiet. Most of the collections are old objects related to the former Dutch colony in Indonesia, and can be visited in an hour.
