Both the visitor center and the house closed and locked and deserted today in complete contradiction of the hours on the website(which also says walk ins welcome), the sign on the driveway, and google...

My husband and I look forward to going to Benares House during the summer concert series every Friday. .. What a lovely setting to be in to hear great music in a beautiful , peaceful relaxing setting....
Benares House, inspiration for Mazo de la Roche series of White Oaks novels.
Just checked it out after hours and it was a beauty looking place. Lots of tall trees in an amazing setting ideal for an outdoor picnic or just as a short hike.
