The meal is surprisingly delicious.

I'm visiting in the summer. It is an old private house and functions as a public hall, but the nishin soba was delicious. Recommended for sightseeing in Kyoto, which is a little different
It is a townhouse along the Saigoku Kaido in Nagaokakyo City and is a nationally registered tangible cultural property. It is now rented out as a local exchange space and is also open as a coffee shop.
You can have snacks and sightseeing, but it may be difficult to enter at first glance.

A culture center and light meal place using a Japanese house that you can see on your right when you leave JR Nagaokakyo Station and proceed through Kamase shopping street. You can know the history of the building from the signboard outside, but there are many event information papers on the window, which makes it feel a little messy. It may be a little difficult to enter for the first time, but you can also take snacks.
The Saigoku Kaido near Kamashi retains the atmosphere of the past, and it is still a shopping street like a post town, and a straight road extends north. The main house of the former Ishida family residence at the southern end of the village is opened to tourists visiting the Saigoku Kaido as a Kamizushi Fureai Machiya, and light meals are also provided.
The Kamizushi Fureai Machiya (formerly the Ishida family residence) is about a 5-minute walk from JR Nagaokakyo Station. I stopped by on the way from Nagaokakyo Station to Shoryuji Castle Park. It is a merchant house built in the late Edo period along the Saigoku Kaido. It is a nationally registered tangible cultural property. It is currently used as a Fureai Machiya. There is also a sweet shop, so it is good for a break.

It's very calm.
