As you are walking through Napier, it is worth seeing the statue and reading her story. Nearby you can go out onto the water on a platform and see the waves and the black sand beach safely.
Beautiful Pania statue placed beside a lovely water fountain. Gardens well worth a visit surrounding her , the beach and the sound of the crashing waves a delight.

Lovely statue
Pania's statue is stunning. The gardens are lovely and beautiful views out to sea. Plenty of parking and worth stopping.
Good Statue
A statue from an old Maori legend that Pania was transformed to a reef which lies beyond the Napier breakwater. Well-worn in interesting places!
Lovely
This is a lovely statue surrounded by beautiful gardens. Great for taking photos. Don't miss out on it.
