Nice milky bath at a reasonable temp
A small but nice onsen in the corner of town - worth the walk to get to it. Was very crowded on first look in, but went back after 15min and it was empty. Nice milky water, and the temperature, whilst...
"Shin-Yu" was my favourite of the lot. It's a milky bath, from the higher content of sulphur. The "onsen" water is good for muscle fatigue. The change area and the bath is rather small and the bath is...
Shin-yu is my favorite soto-yu (bathhouse) in Nozawa Onsen. The Tourist Information Center recommended Shin-yu for its tolerable water temperature. If this is your first Japanese onsen/soto-yu ex...
13 I took a bath in all places with different sources of hot water, but it was cloudy only here. As with everywhere, it was also extremely hot and I was able to add a lot of water. The location is also near the Shinya, which is famous for cherry blossoms and yakitori, but it may be a remote place, so there are few people who take a bath. Most of the outdoor hot water is drawn from the hot water of the hemp pot, and this is a unique source, so I think it is a place I want to keep.
It's a little far away, but it's about a 5-minute walk from the center, and it seems that there are few visitors. It's cloudy hot water, and the temperature is kept high, and it's healed with soft water. I want to enjoy it quietly. It's closed at night, so go until evening.
