Water for the water と water truck

    Original Text

The beautiful and watery water that flows through here is the agricultural water called Ogikubo irrigation water that was drawn through the mountains from Hayakawa after difficult construction in the Edo period. It is also said that the water wheel reproduces the life of that time.

    Small さな Waterwheel Cottage

    Original Text

It was near the Max Value Odawara Ogikubo store on the north side of Odawara Station. It seems that the irrigation canal with a small water mill became the stage of the nursery rhyme "Medaka no School". It was beautifully maintained as a small park.

    You can relax.

    Original Text

It's not like a tourist spot, so it's very calm because there are only locals who are usually walking. I always like to buy drinks and snacks at the supermarket nearby and relax by the water. It's very calm while listening to the sound of water.

    Nursery song "medaka school"

    Original Text

The nursery rhyme "Medaka no Gakuen" was written by Shigeru Chaki, a fairy tale writer, with the motif of the state of Ogikubo irrigation here. Although it is not a large facility, it is a water mill that uses the flow of Ogikubo water and a water park. There is no parking space, so let's walk from Odawara Station. There is also a remains of the Odawara Sotoku "Castle Shimo Haride" nearby.
