This Kamoda Tenmangu shrine is said to have been built by a servant of Sugawara no Michizane's child when he was washed away to this place, and it was a fairly venerable shrine.

It is said that Sugawara no Michizane's third son, located in Kamoda-cho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, admired Michizane and made his own statue. It is located about 150m east of the famous Daikiji Temple, and although the front is not so wide, it is a long precinct.
