Not possible to miss when you visit Paramaribo. There are two remarkable real live statues. The Presidential Palaces does attracts the most attention when standing on the grass of this square.

you are bound to walk through this place in the centre of Paramaribo. Nice to see, but not worth a detour.

Is this really a square

Its difficult to see this as an Independence Square. However, this is an area where there are some attractive buildings, which make this a nice area to walk through rather than an iconic square.

Cool buildings
