Closed to the public for fall 2020
The ships on campus are closed to the public due to COVID, but the landing in Castine is big enough for you to get a good view of the ship and the other MMA boats docked there for students to use.
Toured the ship with our grandson who is a cadet at Maine Maritime.
A tour of the ship is worth the time. Interesting to see where the cadets bunk and the functional sections of the ship such as the mess deck and the various training rooms.
When we first saw the T/S State of Maine steaming past our home in New Hampshire, we said, "What the heck is that?"
