In 1954, Mao Hanli came to Qingdao immediately after returning home. He was an associate researcher in the Marine Biology Research Office of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was responsible for the work of the Ocean Research Group. No. ３６ Fushan Road is an old dormitory building of the Ocean Research Institute. Mr. Mao lived here for many years. After the Cultural Revolution, Mr. Mao moved to another new dormitory building on Fushan Road.
