This was one of my favourite areas of Salem! so many cute little unique shops, and museums to see. I could have spent the entire day here but we were limited on time so I didn't nearly see all of it. ...

Don't go off season.

Visitor center is often closed so no bathrooms or tourist information. Little foot traffic on Essex st as most stores were closed. Clerks were unfriendly. No security or police was ever seen.
