We happened to pass by here. We went in and found this to be a very good museum telling the whole story of the oldest company in the United States with some interaction and the exhibits were well presented. Recommend this for those interested in old American history.
Sitting in a real buggy and finding traffic and communications like in the old west. Send a telegram of Morse code to friends in the next room. Put your face on bank notes! Lots of interesting information about Wells Fargo. How did all this begin and how did it work, from the original pony express to today's international banking? It was worth spending a few hours there.
The Wells Fargo History Museum is a museum worth visiting. It shows us the financial history of the United States and San Francisco. You can see the objects in the movie and let us understand the financial history of San Francisco.
Small enough to fit into your schedule, whether you have some free time to kill between meetings in FiDi, you're showing visitors around town (great for a walking tour), or learning about regional history yourself. Wells Fargo's role in the Gold Rush and western expansion is sizeable. And the museum is free, how great is that?
Very interesting museum with a good overview of San Francisco's development.
Very local museum
