Tosca descended on town
Original Text
The 1926 building is a popular entertainment center, even hosting Cecil B. Demir's "Greatest Show on Earth" filmed in Sarasota. Now it is the birthplace of some great opera houses! Charming design and helpful staff made the venue experience very welcome. The orchestra was excellent and the sound effects were superb. It was not good to not have a seat in the house. Go there early and use the parking garage nearby.
I have seen opera performances at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and several times in Italy. The opera works of Sarasona, although not quite at that level, are really great. The quality of the performers is excellent and the set is beautiful. Although the price is not cheap, it is generally affordable and worth the money to see.
We bought the Russian opera in the afternoon. We arrived earlier and we could hear the introduction of the staff of the Solar Sota Opera. This introduction was very good, let us know more about the opera at 1:30 pm on Sunday. I slept for nearly ten minutes before the opera, and the staff probably turned off the air conditioner, so the room was super hot in the early part of the opera. The stage was gorgeous and the actors sang loudly, but unfortunately I didn't remember a word! Music is average, and there is no improvement in the three-part performance (with a break in the middle) for the next three hours. We will not come to the opera later, and I suggest you ignore this.
The Sarasota Opera is a beautiful place to watch and listen to top operas. Every March, the quality, background and comfort of the opera house never disappoints us. There are no bad seats, the sound effects are second to none, and there are great opera options, the only difficulty is taking time to finish them all. The Sarasota Opera is a holy place and can offer too much to the audience and visitors.
We go there often. This review is for French composer Georges Bizet (1833-75) 'Carmen' on March 8th, 2024 - to celebrate the International Women's Day. The opera house is ok, better than St. Petersbu...

A nice opera on the cultural coast

The best opera.
